Snow College Softball Announces New Head Coach

EPHRAIM, Utah-In news revealed late Monday, Snow College athletic director Rob Nielsen announced Chad Carpenter as the new head coach for the Badgers’ softball program.

Carpenter comes to Snow from Westlake High School of Saratoga Springs, Utah where he has coached the Thunder for the past four seasons.

Carpenter has also coached at the competitive club level in Utah the past several years.

A native of Spokane, Wash. by way of southern California, Carpenter has coached the Utah Heat for the past 10 seasons.

He recently led his team to a third-place finish in the USA Softball Utah State 18U championships.

His team also placed third in 2019 and placed fourth at the USA Prep Stars & Stripes Nationals.

During his time with the Utah Heat, Carpenter coached over 20 players who went on to play at the collegiate level.

Carpenter led the Thunder to a 20-7 (.741) record including a second-place finish in Region 4 with an 8-2 region record and a second-round appearance in the 6-A state tournament this past spring.
