Man Seriously Injured During Cedar City Search Warrant

(Cedar City, UT) — A man was seriously injured during the execution of a search warrant in Cedar City yesterday evening. The Cedar City Police Department says officers were serving a warrant near 350 West and 400 North when a firearm was discharged inside the residence. Authorities say the injured adult male was treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital by ambulance. Investigators say no officers were hurt, there is no ongoing threat to the public, and preliminary findings indicate the gun was not fired by law enforcement.
