Numerous Utah College Basketball Standouts Appear On Prestigious Preseason List

Information released this past weekend from Sean Paul of college basketball site makingthemadness.com reveals various Utah college basketball player standouts have appeared on his Top 100 Mid Major list.

They are as follows:

BYU

No. 6 on the list: senior Guard Alex Barcello. Barcello averaged 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game last season.

No. 91 on the list: senior forward Gideon George. George posted 5.4 points and 3.5 rebounds for the Cougars last season.

No. 96 on the list: sophomore forward Caleb Lohner. The  6-8 Lohner netted 7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Cougars last season.

Southern Utah

No. 25 on the list: redshirt senior guard John Knight III. Last season, Knight posted 14.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Thunderbirds. Knight has also played at Utah State during his collegiate career.

No. 69 on the list: senior wing/power forward Tevian Jones. Last season, Jones amassed 16.9 points and 4.5 rebouunds per game for the T-Birds.

Utah State

No. 78 on the list: senior forward Justin Bean. Bean netted 11.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for the Aggies last season.

Utah Valley

No. 28 on the list: redshirt junior center Fardaws Aimaq. Aimaq posted 13.9 points and a Division I-best 15 rebounds per game last season.

Weber State

No. 47 on the list: 6th year guard Koby McEwen. Last season at Marquette, McEwen averaged 10.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game for the Golden Eagles. McEwen has also played at Utah State during his collegiate career.
