PROVO, Utah-Thursday, BYU senior linebacker Cade Uluave was named to the Butkus Award Watch List. This award is annually bestowed upon the top linebacker in major college football.
Last season at California, Uluave posted three sacks, six defensed passes and 12 tackles for a loss.
Uluave is the only representative of a Utah school to appear on this watch list.
Uluave and his BYU teammates start the season August 29 by hosting Utah Tech at LaVell Edwards Stadium in a non-conference tilt.
