Robinson Lawyers Want Death Penalty Off The Table

(Provo, UT) — Attorneys for alleged Charlie Kirk killer Tyler Robinson are asking a judge to take the death penalty off the table. In a newly-filed motion, Robinson’s defense asked the court to strike the aggravating factor that makes him eligible for capital punishment. His attorneys argue prosecutors have failed to show probable cause that Robinson knowingly created a significant risk of death to anyone other than Kirk. They maintain Robinson had only one target and that the bullet allegedly fired from a rooftop at Utah Valley University last September did not put anyone else in danger.
