Services are set for former congressman Howard Nielson. Nielson passed away in May of 2020, but due to health considerations at the time a public funeral was ruled out. His children are now planning a service, which the public is invited to attend and will take place on Sept. 25, in the Utah Capitol Rotunda at 1:00 p.m.

As a U.S. Congressman, the Richfield native represented Utah’s third Congressional District. He held many other positions as well including Sergeant, Professor, Chairman, Speaker, Associate Commissioner, and Senator among other titles.
