LOGAN, Utah-Earlier this week, Utah State men’s basketball head coach Ryan Odom officially added Nate Dixon as an assistant
Dixon comes to Logan following five seasons as Odom’s lead assistant coach at Maryland-Baltimore County.
During his time at UMBC, in addition to helping the Retrievers upset No. 1 Virginia as a No. 16 seed in the 2008 NCAA Tournament, Dixon helped coach four all-conference selections.
Dixon first teamed up with Odom at Charlotte, serving as the team’s technology and scouting assistant for four seasons.
Dixon’s Division I resume includes stints at Wyoming (2010-11), Louisiana-Lafayette (2009-10), New Orleans (2007-09), Louisiana-Monroe (2005-07), Florida (2003-05) and Stetson (2001-03).H
He has also coached at NCAA Division II institutions, Lenoir-Rhyne, Queens (1998-2000) and Belmont Abbey (1997-1998).
