Utah Football Announces Future Series With Wisconsin

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, the University of Utah’s football program announced a future home-and-home series with Wisconsin for the 2028 and 2033 seasons.

The series with the Badgers commences September 16, 2028 at Madison, Wis. This will be followed by the Utes hosting Big Ten Conference-affiliated Wisconsin September 10, 2033 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.

The Utes have met the Badgers three times on the gridiron with Wisconsin leading the all-time series 2-1.

The most recent game in the series occurred December 27, 1996 at the Copper Bowl in Tucson, Ariz., with the Badgers prevailing 38-10.

The Utes’ last victory against Wisconsin came in 1987 when Utah bested the Badgers, 31-28 at Madison.

The 2033 game will represent Wisconsin’s first visit to Salt Lake City.

This series against the Badgers is the Utes’ fifth Power Five contract Utah has signed in recent years.

The Utes will face Florida in 2022 and 2023, Baylor in 2023 and 2024, Arkansas in 2026 and 2029 and LSU in 2031 and 2032.
