DALLAS-Wednesday, a pair of Utah-based star collegiate tailbacks were named to the Doak Walker Award watch list.
This award is annually presented to the top tailback in NCAA FBS college football.
Utah junior tailback Tavion Thomas Utah State junior tailback Calvin Tyler were named to this prestigious list.
Thomas earned first-team all-Pac-12 honors in 2021 after running for 1,108 yards on 204 carries (5.4 yards per carry) and 21 scores.
Tyler posted 934 scrimmage yards and 7 rushing scores for the Aggies last season.
Tyler has also excelled in the classroom as he was named academic All-Mountain West in the 2001 season.
