DELTA, Utah-Reggie Frischknecht homered and the Manti Templars blanked Delta 10-0 to complete a Region 14 doubleheader sweep of the Rabbits Monday. Kayson Bailey’s nine strikeouts in five innings of work earned him the win on the mound.
DELTA, Utah-Braxton Henningson, Bryce Boehrer, Hayden Wade, Cody Aagard and Kayson Bailey drove in two runs apiece and the Manti Templars routed Delta 15-6 in the first game of a Region 14 baseball doubleheader Monday. Britton Keisel posted five strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Templars. Dustin Lovell drove in three runs in the loss for the Rabbits.
2A West
HILDALE, Utah-Jaden Holder homered and the Kanab Cowboys completed a 2A West baseball doubleheader sweep of Water Canyon with a 19-0 rout Monday. Brody Perkins earned the win on the mound for the Cowboys with a strikeout in two innings of work.
HILDALE, Utah-Griffen Bone homered and the Kanab Cowboys pummeled Water Canyon 20-2 in the first game of a 2A West baseball doubleheader Monday. Lane Sims drove in four more runs in victory for the Cowboys. Maddix Baird posted nine strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cowboys.
Non-Region
PAYSON, Utah-Cael Smith and Payton Park drove in three runs apiece and the Juab Wasps hammered Class 5A Payson 12-1 Monday in non-region baseball play. Wyatt Payton drove in two more runs in victory for Juab. Smith recorded five strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wasps.
SALINA, Utah-The Grand County Red Devils surged past North Sevier 16-6 in non-region baseball play Monday.
Softball
Region 14
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Lucy Oldroyd and Madyson Steadman drove in three runs apiece and the North Sanpete Hawks doubled up Union 10-5 Monday in Region 14 softball play. Katelyn Johnson’s seven strikeouts in seven innings of work earned her the win in the circle for the Hawks.
2A South
HILDALE, Utah-Taylor Janes and Beka Rogers drove in three runs apiece and the Kanab Lady Cowboys smacked Water Canyon 19-3 Monday in 2A South softball play. Savanah Hulet, Kasia Smith and Lindsay Cornell drove an additional two runs in apiece for Kanab. Rogers netted eight strikeouts in three innings of work for the Lady Cowboys to earn the win in the circle.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Emily Stephenson homered and the Millard Eagles clobbered Panguitch 23-1 in 2A South softball play Monday. Halle Warner drove in an additional three runs for the Eagles in victory. Hailey Flynn netted nine strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Millard.
Non-Region
NEPHI, Utah-Gracie Jensen homered and the Class 5A Maple Mountain Golden Eagles pounded Juab 16-1 in non-region softball play Monday. Ellie Jackson’s six strikeouts in four innings of work earned her the win in the circle for the Golden Eagles.
MONROE, Utah-Macie Barton, Audrey Stewart and Jerzy Moon drove in a run apiece and the Richfield Wildcats edged the South Sevier Rams 3-2 Monday in non-region softball play. Kolbi Viers recorded six strikeouts in eight innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Wildcats. Hayzen Taylor drove in a run for the Rams in the loss.
SALEM, Utah-The Class 5A Salem Hills Skyhawks edged Juab 7-6 in non-region softball play Monday. HayLee Daniels, Andilyn Anderson and Raubie Johnson drove in two runs apiece in the loss for the Templars.
