CEDAR CITY, Utah-Sherlock Padmore II posted 14 points and 9 rebounds and the No. 6 Summit Academy Bears upset No. 3 Emery 48-42 Thursday at the America First Event Center on the campus of Southern Utah University in the state quarterfinals. Wade Stilson’s 12 points and 10 rebounds led the Spartans in defeat. The Bears next face No. 7 Juab Friday at 9:10 pm in the state semifinals.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Austin Park’s 16 points led the way and the No. 7 Juab Wasps edged No. 2 Richfield 46-44 at the America First Event Center Thursday in the state quarterfinals. Austin Park’s 16 points led the Wasps in defeat.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Larson Pogroszewski posted 20 points and 4 rebounds on 7-12 from the field and Reggie Frischknecht had a perfect game with 19 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists on 7-7 from the field and 5-5 at the foul line as No. 1 Manti routed No. 8 Canyon View 70-52 in the state quarterfinals Thursday. The Templars shot 53 percent (26-49) for the game in victory. Chad Hartmann had 15 points in the loss for the Falcons. Manti next plays Friday at 7:30 pm in the state semifinals against Grantsville.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Brigham Mulford’s 21 points led the way and the No. 4 Grantsville Cowboys downed No. 5 Morgan 52-43 Thursday in the state quarterfinals. Aiden Harris had 10 points for the Trojans in the loss.

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Kason Janes posted 23 points and the No. 3 Kanab Cowboys downed No. 6 APA West Valley 72-59 Thursday in the state quarterfinals at Salt Lake Community College. Adis Halaba led the Eagles with 19 points in the loss. The Cowboys next face No. 7 Duchesne Friday at 9:10 pm in the state semifinals.
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Jep Young had 17 points and the No. 7 Duchesne Eagles downed No. 2 Millard 59-56 in overtime in the state quarterfinals at Salt Lake Community College Thursday. Hunter Rhodes had 29 points in the loss for the Millard Eagles. Millard next faces No. 6 APA West Valley Friday at 2:30 pm in the consolation bracket.

Enterprise faces No. 4 South Sevier in the consolation bracket Friday at 12:50 pm.

Bianca Silva’s 23 points and 8 rebounds on 8-16 from the field led the Trojans in defeat. Morgan next meets No. 2 Richfield in the state semifinals Friday at 5:50 pm at Southern Utah University.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-McKenzie Allen netted 22 points and 10 rebounds and the No. 1 Grantsville Lady Cowboys got past No. 8 Judge 55-48 Thursday in the 3A state quarterfinals. Nyandeng Deng had 16 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for the Bulldogs. Grantsville next faces Carbon Friday at 4:10 pm in the state semifinals.
