3A First Round 

DELTA, Utah-Caitlin Allred recorded 18 points and 9 rebounds and the No. 16 Delta Rabbits outlasted No. 17 Providence Hall 50-45 in the first round of the 3A girls state tournament Tuesday at the Palladium. Sarah Scott’s 13 points led the Patriots in the loss. The Rabbits next visit No. 1 Grantsville Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

OGDEN, Utah-Aleia Huff led the way with 10 points and the No. 18 Ben Lomond Scots upset No. 15 Ogden 35-31 Tuesday in the first round of the 3A girls state tournament in a crosstown rivalry. Salote Tonga had a game-high 13 points in defeat for the Tigers. Ben Lomond next visits No. 2 Richfield Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

ROOSEVELT, Utah-Lexie Davenport’s 13 points and 5 rebounds led the way and the No. 14 Union Cougars overpowered No. 19 Juan Diego 54-32 in the first round of the 3A girls state tournament Tuesday. Ella Sabit’s game-high 16 points led the Soaring Eagle in the loss. Union next visits No. 3 Carbon in the second round of the state playoffs Friday at 7:00 pm.

2A First Round

FILLMORE, Utah-Olivia Bassett netted 15 points and the No. 15 Millard Eagles decimated No. 18 Utah Military Camp Williams 84-31 in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament Tuesday. Aarikah Jensen had 13 points in the loss for the Marauders. Millard next visits No. 2 Kanab Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

SALT LAKE CITY-The No. 8 Intermountain Christian Lions crushed No. 25 Rowland Hall 61-11 Tuesday in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament. The Lions next host No. 9 Grand in the second round of the state playoffs Friday at 7:00 pm.

ENTERPRISE, Utah-Jaycee Barlow and Liza Balajadia had 16 points apiece and the No. 10 Enterprise Wolves pounded No. 23 Gunnison Valley 64-40 in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament Tuesday. Autumn Anderson had 10 points in the loss for the Bulldogs. The Wolves next visit No. 7 American Heritage Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

DUCHESNE, Utah-Chezney Farnsworth led the way with 18 points and the No. 6 Duchesne Eagles decimated No. 27 Freedom Prep 109-2 Tuesday in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament. Zoie Stilwell scored 2 points in the loss for the Freedom Prep Eagles. The Eagles next host No. 11 Rockwell in the second round of the state playoffs Friday at 7:00 pm.

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Ali Decker netted 13 points and the No. 16 ALA Eagles edged No. 17 Parowan 40-35 in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament Tuesday. Bella Robinson’s 19 points led the Rams in the loss. ALA next visits No. 1 North Summit Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Anne Marie Gibbs led the way with 20 points and the No. 7 American Heritage Patriots smacked No. 26 Utah Military Hillfield 47-22 Tuesday in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-Kiaya Bond posted 19 points and the No. 11 Rockwell Marshals bested No. 22 Water Canyon 65-54 in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament Tuesday. Martha Jessop and Alyshe Cooke had 21 points apiece in defeat for the Wildcats.

SANDY, Utah-Anne Howard led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds and the No. 12 Waterford Ravens doubled up No. 21 APA West Valley 44-22 Tuesday in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament. Nicole Tran had 9 points in the loss for the Eagles. Waterford next visits No. 5 South Sevier Friday at 7:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

OGDEN, Utah-The No. 14 St. Joseph Jayhawks doubled up No. 19 Merit 46-23 in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament Tuesday. The Jayhawks next visit No. 3 Draper APA in the second round of the state playoffs Friday at 7:00 pm.

MOAB, Utah-Cadence Kasprick posted 21 points and 6 rebounds and the No. 9 Grand Red Devils blitzed No. 24 Maeser 66-25 in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament Tuesday. Octavia Mosher had 10 points in the loss for the Lions.

SALINA, Utah-Alyssa Rosquist netted 19 points and the No. 13 North Sevier Wolves humbled No. 20 San Juan 47-39 Tuesday in the first round of the 2A girls state tournament. Shaylin Nez had 12 points in the loss for the Broncos. The Wolves next visit No. 4 Beaver Friday at 6:00 pm in the second round of the state tournament.
