ST. GEORGE, Utah-Monday, Dixie State men’s basketball junior forward Matt Conway was named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s basketball player of the week.
Conway, a 6-7 215-pound native of Chandler, Ariz. and graduate of Pleasant Grove High School, averaged 28 points and 6 rebounds and shot 62.1 percent in wins over Adams State and Fort Lewis this weekend.
His contributions helped the Trailblazers win their 10th straight game and improve to 15-8 on the season.
The Trailblazers return to action Friday at the Burns Arena as they host Regis, the second-place team in the RMAC. Dixie State is currently in third place in the conference standings.
