Tuesday, BYU senior tailback LJ Martin was named to the Doak Walker Award Watch List. This award is annually bestowed upon the nation’s most outstanding tailback.
Martin, a senior out of El Paso, Texas, ran for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns last season for the Cougars while also adding 36 receptions for 255 yards.
Martin and his BYU teammates start the season September 5 by hosting Utah Tech at LaVell Edwards Stadium in a non-conference tilt.
