Widemouth 2 Fire Nearing 130,00 Acres

(Kanosh, UT) — The Widemouth 2 Fire is nearly 130-thousand acres in size and is now 80-percent contained. Cooler weather is helping firefighters, but the rain is also causing flooding and mudslides. Kanosh town council member Josh Whitaker tells FOX-13 that they’re cutting down trees and clearing debris as they prepare to fight floods. He says that could be a problem for years to come because the burn scar is so extensive.
