Eighteen months after Kammy Edmund’s body was found in her Mt. Pleasant home, a trial date has been set for the man charged in her death. Anthony Christensen told police he found his fiance deceased on the floor of their bathroom on the morning of March 31, 2017. He said she left their home after a night of drinking and was injured in an automobile accident. However, autopsy results didn’t support his version of the events, and he was taken into custody and charged with 1st degree murder, obstruction of justice and desecration of a corpse. A 3-week trial is scheduled to begin July 1, 2019. Both Sanpete County Attorney Kevin Daniels and Richard Gale, one of Christensen’s attorneys, said there are a number of motions that will be filed before that time. A pretrial conference has been set for December 5.
