OGDEN, Utah-Tuesday, Weber State junior point guard Dillon Jones was named the Big Sky Conference player of the week.

The native of Columbia, S.C. averaged 17.5 points, 14 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2 steals for the Wildcats in victories over Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona.

Jones, who is averaging 14.9 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game on the season, was also named the collegeinsider.com Lou Henson Award Mid-Major National Player of the Week.

Jones and his Weber State (7-8; 2-0 in Big Sky play) teammates return to action Saturday by hosting Idaho State at the Dee Events Center.
