OGDEN, Utah-Thursday, Weber State football freshman standout tailback Josh Davis was named to the Jerry Rice award watch list, honoring the top FCS freshman in the country.
Davis is one of 15 players across the nation named to this list. The presentation of this award dates back to 2011.
Davis, a native of Sandy, Utah and a graduate of Alta High School, is third in the country in rushing yards per game (137.8 yards per contest) and has surpassed 100 yards in three of the four games he has played this season.
He also has eight punt returns for 123 yards and seven receptions for 37 yards, giving him 708 all-purpose yards thus far on the season.
