Utah Residents Spend The Least Out-Of-Pocket On Healthcare

(Salt Lake City, UT) — A new study finds that Utah residents spend the least amount of money out-of-pocket on healthcare. WalletHub says folks in Utah spend about five-percent of their median monthly household income on out-of-pocket costs. That figure is double in Alaska, which has the highest out-of-pocket costs. Analysts say a combination of lower healthcare costs and higher income helps Utah. California and Nevada also have some of the lowest out-of-pocket costs.
