UVU Volleyball To Host Green/White Scrimmage

OREM, Utah-Tuesday evening, Utah Valley University volleyball hosts the annual green-white scrimmage, the last tuneup before the regular season commences. This will be Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Lockhart Arena on campus. Admission is free.

The Wolverines, despite losing 3-0 to BYU this past Saturday, played each set within five points, giving head coach, Sam Atoa, confidence that UVU can have a successful season.

The Wolverines will have nine newcomers, six of whom saw action in the match against BYU.

Among the newcomers, freshman Kanza Tarwhiti of Pleasant Grove, Utah, led the way with seven kills and seven digs against the Cougars.

UVU’s season officially commences Friday and Saturday at the UC Davis Aggie Invitational at Davis, Calif.

Friday, the Wolverines meet Holy Cross and host UC Davis, while Saturday they face the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.
