Utah State Football Signs New Special Teams/Tight Ends Coach

LOGAN, Utah-Thursday, Utah State head football coach Gary Andersen announced Roc Bellantoni has been added to the Aggies’ staff as the special teams coordinator and tight ends coach.

Bellantoni was the interim defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Washington State in 2019, coaching the Cougars in the 2019 Cheez-It Bowl, a 31-21 loss to Air Force.

At Washington State, two of his players, linebackers Jahad Woods (All-Pac-12 honorable mention and Travion Brown (2nd team All-Pac-12 all-purpose). received all-conference honors.

Bellantoni is a 27-year coaching veteran throughout both levels of Division I football.

He has coached for squads that have reached the FCS playoffs seven times and mentored three future NFL Draft selections.

Bellantoni is a graduate of Iona and commenced his coaching career at Mamaroneck H.S. (N.Y.) as the offensive and defensive line coach for the Tigers for the 1993-94 school year.

His first collegiate coaching job was at NCAA Division III Buena Vista of Storm Lake, Iowa where he was the Beavers’ defensive line coach from 1995-1997.
