SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, University of Utah men’s basketball coach Craig Smith announced David Jenkins Jr., a former UNLV guard, has joined the Utes’ program.
Jenkins Jr., a 6-2 guard out of Tacoma, Wash. has played for both South Dakota State (2017-19) and UNLV (2020-21) as a collegian.
Jenkins Jr. averages just under 17 points (16.95) per game as a collegian and posts just over 3 rebounds per game.
Last season with the Runnin’ Rebels, Jenkins Jr. averaged 14.8 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
Jenkins Jr. also reunites with former UNLV assistant coach DeMarlo Slocum who joined the Utes’ coaching staff earlier this month.
