SALT LAKE CITY-With training camp and the preseason still weeks away for the Utah Jazz, the franchise waived small forward Jarrell Brantley Thursday.
In two seasons with the Jazz, Brantley, who starred at Charleston as a collegian, posted 2.3 points per game for Utah.
ESPN NBA Front Office Insider Bobby Marks confirmed the Jazz will suffer a salary cap hit of more than $84,000 by virtue of waiving Brantley.
Utah announced that they have waived forward Jarrell Brantley.
Coming off a Two Way contract, Brantley signed a one year $1.66M Qualifying Offer in the offseason .
The Jazz will incur a $84,414 cap hit.

The Jazz commence training camp September 28 and will play their first preseason game October 4 at San Antonio.
