SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, Utah junior defensive end Jonah Elliss was named as a consensus All-American.

Ellis, who has 12 sacks and 16 tackles for a loss on the season, has been named as an All-American by the following organizations;

Football Writers Association of America

American Football Coaches Association

The Associated Press

Walter Camp

The Sporting News

This resulted in Elliss receiving the distinction of being a consensus All-American. He is the only Utah college football player to obtain this distinction this year.

Elliss and his Utes teammates conclude their season December 23 against Northwestern at the Las Vegas Bowl at Allegiant Stadium of Paradise, Nev.
