SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, BYU and the University of Utah each had candidates revealed for the 2023 John Mackey Award Watch List.
This award is annually presented to the top tight end in college football and is named for the former star tight end at Syracuse and the Baltimore Colts who was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992.
BYU was represented by junior tight end Isaac Rex. Rex has 78 career receptions for 963 yards and 21 scores for the Cougars.
The Utes are represented by two tight ends, redshirt senior Brant Kuithe and senior Thomas Yassmin.
