University of Utah Football Announces Full Capacity Fan Attendance At Rice-Eccles Stadium

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, the University of Utah’s football program announced full capacity fan attendance at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

This will commence when the Utes host in-state rival Weber State September 2.

Upon completion of the structure’s Ken Garff Performance Zone, there will be capacity for 51,444 fans as the Utes host the Wildcats.

University of Utah Director of Athletics Mark Harlan stated the athletics department is excited to be planning for a sold-out environment.

Limited premium seating inventory still remains in the Ken Garff Performance Zone at this time.

The Premium Terrace seats in this area are currently on sale to present Crimson Club members.

Remaining Premium Terrace seats will then be sold to the public at the conclusion of the Crimson Club priority stage.

The Utes are to have a traditional fall season with 12 games, including six home contests.

Utah returns 20 starters from last season, 10 of whom earned all-Pac-12 honors in 2020.

They include senior receiver/return specialist Britain Covey, junior offensive lineman Nick Ford, junior linebacker Devin Lloyd, sophomore kicker Jadon Redding, junior tight end Brant Kuithe, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Sataoa Laumea, junior defensive end Mika Tafua, sophomore cornerback JaTravis Broughton, senior long-snapper Keegan Markgraf (who has been drafted by the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton TigerCats) and junior linebacker Nephi Sewell.

This past December, the Utes also achieved the No. 29 recruiting class in the country. This also ranks fourth in Pac-12 annals.
