FARMINGTON, Utah-Wednesday, the Big Sky Conference announced its preseason all-conference men’s basketball squad.

This team was voted for by the conference’s coaches, sports information directors and select media members.

The squad consists of three Southern Utah University Thunderbirds and a Weber State Wildcat, giving it a heavy Utah flavor.

The Big Sky preseason MVP is SUU senior power forward Tevian Jones. Jones, a native of Chandler, Ariz. and a transfer from Illinois, posted 16.9 points and 4.5 rebounds last season for the Thunderbirds.

Jones’ teammates on the squad include senior guard John Knight III (14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds per game for SUU last season) and senior shooting guard Maizen Fausett (13.5 points, 6.1 rebounds for the T-birds last season).

Weber State’s representative on the squad is sophomore guard Seikou Sisoho “Sigu” Jawara  (12.3 points, 3.2 assists per game last season for the Wildcats).

Other members of the all-conference preseason squad include the following:

Northern Colorado senior power forward Bodie Hume (15.9 points, 7.1 rebounds per game for the Bears last season).

Montana State junior forward/center Jubrile Belo (13.9 points, 5.9 rebounds per game for the Bobcats last season) and senior point guard Xavier Bishop (13.9 points, 3.9 assists per game for the Bobcats last season).
