(Salt Lake City, UT) — There’s a new executive order in effect in Utah establishing a higher bar for data center development in Utah. It directs state agencies to prioritize protection of the state’s water resources, air quality, utility rates, wildlife, and quality of life when considering data centers. This is happening as a fight continues over the proposed Stratos data center project in Box Elder County.
