COUNCIIL BLUFFS, Iowa-Sunday, Snow College women’s wrestling placed 7th at the NJCAA Women’s Wrestling National Championship meet.

Indian Hills Community College of Ottumwa, Iowa, won the NJCAA national championship with a score of 287.

Snow’s star women’s wrestlers included freshman Ashlea Larson who finished second to Umpqua star Zoe Smalley at 143 pounds.

Other Badgers who excelled were freshman Angella Van Valkenburg, who finished fourth at 155 pounds and freshman Corrie Williams, who placed fourth in the 136-pound division.

By virtue of their performance, each of them were named as All-Americans.
