TWIN FALLS, Idaho-Alyce Archuleta and Lexi Crowley homered and the No. 25 Southern Idaho Golden Eagles bested the Snow Badgers 8-5 Friday in the first game of a SWAC softball doubleheader at First Federal Softball Field and Irwin Clubhouse. Emerson Fuller posted six strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Golden Eagles. Taimane Laolagi-Aloy and Rian Howland homered in the loss for the Badgers.

In the second game, Maile Ha’o, Jade Romero, Lexi Crowley and Jenna Ambrose homered as the Golden Eagles routed Snow 9-1, completing the Friday sweep. Marissa Mauger netted eight strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Southern Idaho. Taimane Laolagi-Aly drove in a run in the loss for the Badgers.

The squads will play another doubleheader Saturday at First Federal Softball Field and Irwin Clubhouse with opening pitch slated for 12:00 pm.
