HELPER, Utah-Ainzleigh Quinn and Jayda Spight drove in three runs apiece and the USU-Eastern Utah Eagles overpowered Snow 9-5 Friday in the first game of a SWAC softball doubleheader at Heritage Field. Allie Fowler netted 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for USU-Eastern Utah. Brooke Fisher, Bree Garcia and Gigi Hall homered in the loss for the Badgers.

In the second game of the series, Snow responded with an 11-3 win over USU-Eastern Utah Friday at Heritage Field. Bree Garcia homered in victory for the Badgers. Avery Thorkelson netted five strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Badgers. Allie Fowler homered in defeat for the Eagles.

The squads return to action Saturday at 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm for a doubleheader at Heritage Field to conclude the series.
