Snow Football Returns Into Playoff Conversation

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Monday, the Snow College football team, despite having an open date October 30, returned into the playoff conversation per the latest NJCAA polls, released Monday afternoon.

The 6-1 Badgers advanced to No. 4 after Independence (Kan.) fell 19-9 to Coffeyville (Kan.) 19-9 Sunday. Independence had been ranked No. 3.

The present top 10 are as follows:

No. 1 East Mississippi CC (9-0)

No. 2 Iowa Western CC (7-0)

No. 3 Jones (Miss.) (8-1)

No. 4 Snow (6-1)

No. 5 Northwest Mississippi CC (7-2)

No. 6 New Mexico Military (7-1)

No. 7 Coffeyville (Kan.) (6-1)

No. 8 Independence (Kan.) (7-1)

No. 9 Monroe (N.Y.) (7-0)

No. 10 Hinds (Miss.) (7-2)

The top 15 teams are ranked weekly by the NJCAA. Lackawanna, Snow College’s opponent Saturday at Ephraim, is technically No. 16 as they are the first team to receive votes that is not ranked.

A decisive win over the Falcons would likely cause the Badgers to move further up the polls.
