NJCAA Tournament
HUTCHINSON, Kan.-Wyatt Lowell blocked a shot in the closing seconds and the No. 15 Snow Badgers outlasted No. 18 Lee (Texas) 83-82 in the first round of the NJCAA Tournament at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
The Badgers were led by Drake Allen (27 points, 6 rebounds, 12-17 shooting) and Clayton Southwick (22 points, 11 rebounds, 6-11 shooting) to give Snow a victory in their first NJCAA Tournament appearance since 1970.
Kyron Gibson had 24 points and 7 assists on 5-5 at the foul line in defeat for the Runnin’ Rebels out of Baytown, Texas.
Snow next advances to the second round of the NJCAA Tournament to face the No. 2 Dodge City (Kan.) Conquistadors Tuesday at 5:30 pm MDT.
