RICHFIELD, Utah-Wednesday, on college football National Letter of Intent Day, three Richfield Wildcats football stars signed to play at the next level.
Wildcats standout nose guard Nate Young signed with Utah Tech Wednesday afternoon. Young posted 6 sacks, 11.5 tackles for a loss and 66 total tackles (22 solo stops) in helping to lead the Wildcats to their first football state title since 1984. The 6’6″ 290-pound Young also stars in basketball and baseball at Richfield.
Additionally, Richfield receiver Kai Thomas and tailback/receiver/outside linebacker Caysen Acord signed with the St. George Eagles.
Thomas posted 52 receptions for 726 yards and 8 touchdowns for the Wildcats this past season.
Acord recorded 6.5 sacks and an interception last season for Richfield.
Acord also plays pitcher and in the outfield on the Wildcats’ baseball team.
