Football

3A South

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Alex Jackson completed 17 of 32 passes for 381 yards, three touchdowns and two scores as the Juab Wasps routed North Sanpete 52-28 in 3A South football action Friday.

Jackson received some support from a strong rushing offense as Ryan Robison (19 car, 141 yards, 2 TD’s) excelled on the ground for the Wasps.

Juab amassed 613 yards of offense (381 passing, 232 rushing) in improving to 7-0 and 2-0 in 3A South play.

In defeat, Keegan Strickland returned an interception 40 yards for a score while PJ Cook (16 car, 158 yards) was North Sanpete’s overall star on the evening.

The Hawks fell to 2-5 in defeat and 0-2 in 3A South play.

Juab returns to action Friday by hosting Canyon View while North Sanpete next visits Carbon on Friday.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Jaxon Jensen threw three touchdown passes and the Canyon View Falcons outlasted Manti 35-28 Friday in 3A South play. Larson Pogroszewski had an 85-yard kickoff return for a score and a 5-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Templars.

PRICE, Utah-Emory Thorson had an 11-yard touchdown run, threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Hafen and returned an interception 65 yards for another score as the Richfield Wildcats decimated Carbon 47-2 in 3A South play Friday. Hafen added a 44-yard touchdown pass to Cort Moon in victory for Richfield.

2A South

MONROE, Utah-Ryder Rogers and Blade Brandow each had touchdown runs and the Delta Rabbits recorded their first win of the season with a 19-14 win over South Sevier Friday in 2A South play. Cam Skeem added a 23-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Smith in victory for Delta. Carter Abraham threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Xander Rankin and Brock Bair added a 3-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Rams.

FILLMORE, Utah-Parker Snyder threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Jake Ivins and the San Juan Broncos routed Millard 39-6 in 2A South play Friday. Morgan Wade had a 3-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Eagles.

BEAVER, Utah-Bodie Wheatley ran for three scores and Tavyn Hollingshead added two more scoring runs as the Beaver Beavers hammered Grand 49-12 Friday in 2A South play. Tatym Bisco had a pair of scoring passes in the loss for the Red Devils.

1A South

PAROWAN, Utah-Kilo Tsosie threw four touchdown passes and the Milford Tigers routed Parowan 55-14 in 1A South play Friday. Justin DeGroff threw a pair of scoring tosses to Waylon Robinson (81 and 15 yards) in the loss for the Rams.

1A North

SALINA, Utah-Kannin Boswell had scoring runs of 12 and 14 yards and the North Sevier Wolves stonewalled North Summit 28-13 in 1A North play Friday. Kyson Bosshardt and Tyler Foote also scored for the Wolves in victory. Jake Smith had scoring runs of 10 and 60 yards for the Braves in defeat.

DUCHESNE, Utah-Cade Gines ran for three scores and the Duchesne Eagles hammered Gunnison Valley 37-6 Friday in 1A North play. Tyrek Hopkins ran four yards for a score in defeat for the Bulldogs.

Non-Region

KANAB, Utah-Jose Ribeiro threw a pair of touchdown passes and the Layton Christian Eagles waxed Kanab 28-7 Friday in non-region football play. Jaxon Riddle had a 15-yard touchdown run in defeat for the Cowboys.

1A South

HURRICANE, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds decimated Diamond Ranch 23-2 Friday in 1A South baseball play.

TROPIC, Utah-The Bryce Valley Mustangs pounded Pinnacle 15-0 in 1A South baseball play Friday.

BICKNELL, Utah-The Wayne Badgers routed Valley 11-1 Friday in 1A South baseball play. Jake Batty drove in three runs for the Badgers in victory.

PANGUITCH, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats decimated Green River 16-0 in 1A South baseball play Friday.

Volleyball

Region 19

BEAVER, Utah-The San Juan Broncos got past Beaver 3-2 in Region 19 volleyball play Friday. The Broncos outlasted the Beavers, 26-24, 16-25, 23-25, 25-10, 16-14 to prevail. Talia Alisa’s 19 kills led the Beavers in the loss.

Region 20

MILFORD, Utah-The Valley Buffaloes dismantled Milford 3-1 in Region 20 volleyball play Friday. Valley prevailed over the Tigers 25-17, 23-25, 25-15, 25-23.

Non-Region

TABIONA, Utah-The Tabiona Tigers outlasted Bryce Valley 3-2 Friday in non-region volleyball action. The Tigers downed the Mustangs 25-22, 25-27, 25-22, 21-25, 15-10
