MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Preston Madsen returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown in double overtime to end the game as the North Sanpete Hawks achieved their first win of the season with a 13-7 win over South Sevier Friday in non-region football action.
Regulation ended with a scoreless tie as South Sevier’s JT Garrett was 0-2 on field goal attempts and Hawks tailback Cache Nicolson fumbled on the Rams’ 1-yard line within the first four quarters of the game.
South Sevier struck first on a 22-yard scoring reception by Anthony Cornelius before Nicholson scored from 6 yards out for the Hawks’ first touchdown of the evening.
In double overtime, the Rams were on offense to start things off when Madsen ended the game with his interception return.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Reggie Hafen threw four touchdown passes and the Richfield Wildcats pounded Ogden 50-7 in non-region football play Friday. Cort Moon added a 6-yard touchdown run and Jay Andersen returned an interception 45 yards for another score for the Wildcats.
NEPHI, Utah-Dallen Van Vliet ran 45 yards for a score and Joe Wright connected on a 24-yard field goal as the Grantsville Cowboys upset Juab 10-7 Friday in non-region football play. Austin Park had a 13-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Wasps.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Maison Starkweather threw three touchdown passes and the Manti Templars outgunned Emery 38-27 in non-region football play Friday. Starkweather added a touchdown run for Manti while Austin Thomas connected on a 25-yard field goal and Tala Taulapapa recorded an 8-yard touchdown run in victory for the Templars.
MILFORD, Utah-Talan Schneider and Easton Thompson each ran for scores and the Providence Hall Patriots edged Milford 22-21 Friday in non-region football play. Colton Barnes hauled in an 18-yard scoring pass and ran for another score in defeat for the Tigers.
KANAB, Utah-Griffen Bone threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Kash Kabonic and Hayden Gubler added a 2-yard touchdown run as the Kanab Cowboys edged Millard 16-13 in non-region football play Friday. Kaden Turner threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to Preston Sanchez and Connor Stevens recorded a 14-yard scoring run in the loss for the Eagles.
DUCHESNE, Utah-Parker Crum threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score and the Duchesne Eagles blanked Beaver 20-0 Friday in non-region football play.
SALINA, Utah-Ryker Phillips threw a pair of touchdown passes and added a 38-yard touchdown run as the Enterprise Wolves clobbered North Sevier 36-3 in the battle of the Wolves Friday. Brayden Hammond recorded a 37-yard field goal in the loss for North Sevier.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Hunt Robinson threw two touchdown passes and Kadence Lovell ran for two more scores as the Delta Rabbits stormed past American Leadership 41-23 Friday in non-region football play.
SALT LAKE CITY-The Judge Memorial Bulldogs recorded their first win of the season with a 26-20 win over the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs in non-region football play Friday.

BICKNELL, Utah-McClain Nelson and Ammon Peterson drove in two runs apiece and the Wayne Badgers routed Valley 11-1 in 1A South baseball play Friday. Jake Batty, Ryker Grundy, Jake Peterson and Carson Lee each drove in a run as well in victory for Wayne. Batty recorded the win on the mound for the Badgers.
GREEN RIVER, Utah-Remme Chappell earned the win on the mound and the Panguitch Bobcats pounded Green River 14-0 Friday in 1A South baseball play.
