SALEM, Utah-Luke DeGraffenried completed 15 of 21 passes for 262 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception as the Salem Hills Skyhawks routed Juab 42-7 in non-region football action Friday.

The Wasps took a swift 7-0 lead as signal-caller Alex Jackson (9-12, 129 yards, TD, 2 INT’s) hit Ryker Richards on a 13-yard scoring reception.

Nevertheless, interceptions by Jackson on subsequent possessions, including a 30-yard interception return for a score by linebacker Garrett Holt, gave the Skyhawks a 14-7 lead after the 1st Quarter.

Jackson later left the game with a injury and tailback Chase Ingram was lost to a concussion for the Wasps.

DeGraffenried helped put the game away with scoring tosses of 72 yards to Treyson Zobell and of 67 and 44 yards to Zaylun Fenn.

The win was the Skyhawks’ first of the season after they had fallen to Pine View and Lehi to commence the season.

Juab returns to action Friday by hosting Delta, hoping that Jackson and Ingram are available.

Jared Dye had 150 scrimmage yards on 20 touches for the Wasps in the loss.

REXBURG, Idaho-Tyten Fails threw touchdown passes of 37 yards to Gage Edwards and 14 yards to Kutlur Matheson as the Beaver Beavers edged Marsh Valley (Idaho) 21-20 Friday at Madison High School. Cobe Carter added a 3-yard touchdown run for the Beavers in the win. The Eagles had a chance to win in the closing seconds but their 2-point conversion failed after a 53-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Roche to Payton Howe. Beaver improved to 3-0 on the season with the win.

MONTICELLO, Utah-Bo Hardy threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Blake Barnes and added a 22-yard scoring run as the Milford Tigers clobbered Monticello 51-7 in non-region football play Friday. Colton Barnes (2 yards), Rudy Campeau (3 yards), Drayton Blackburn (71 yards) and Quaid Thompson (8 yards) added scoring runs for the Tigers. Kielen Tsosie added a 3-yard touchdown pass to Corbyn Dalton for Milford.

ENTERPRISE, Utah-Matthew Ramos threw touchdown passes to Austin Humphries and Jeddy Crittenden, respectively, as the Enterprise Wolves blanked Millard 26-0 Friday in non-region football play. Ramos added a 1-yard touchdown run for the Wolves and Kyron Bracken added a 2-yard touchdown run for Enterprise.

GUNNISON, Utah-Jack Hansen threw touchdown passes to Brogan Christensen of 6 and 37 yards and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs hammered Rich 54-13 in non-region football play Friday. Hansen also threw a 21-yard scoring pass to Skippy Jackson for the Bulldogs. Tyrek Hopkins added scoring runs of 22 and 53 yards for Gunnison Valley in victory as the Bulldogs improved to 2-0.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Luke Ivers threw scoring passes of 5 yards to Cooper Swasey and 10 yards to Zade Tischner as the Payson Lions blanked Richfield 13-0 Friday in non-region football play.

DELTA, Utah-Xander Shelly had a 14-yard touchdown run in overtime and the North Sanpete Hawks outlasted Delta 34-28 in non-region football play Friday. Filling in for injured quarterback Landon Bowles, Tyler Allan threw touchdown passes to Kolby Robinson and Luke Mower for the Hawks. Dante Lowe added field goals of 27 and 46 yards for North Sanpete. In defeat, Josh Jackson had scoring runs of 80 and 33 yards for the Rabbits. Ryder Rogers added an 82-yard scoring jaunt for Delta and Cameron Skeem ran for a 5-yard touchdown for Delta.

GRANTSVILLE, Utah-Ethan Rainer returned a pair of punts 52 and 76 yards, respectively, for scores, and the Grantsville Cowboys pounded Manti 42-14 Friday in non-region football play. Rainer added a 39-yard scoring pass from Caleb Sullivan for Grantsville. Sullivan tossed a 17-yard touchdown pass to Parker Williams for another score. Lee Maile added a blocked punt return for a touchdown for Grantsville. Larson Pogroszewski and Alex Cox had touchdown runs in the loss for the Templars.

COALVILLE, Utah-Nathan Snyder had scoring runs of 1 and 6 yards and Kannin Boswell ran 6 yards for another score as the North Sevier Wolves stymied North Summit 20-0 in non-region football play Friday. The Wolves improved to 3-0 on the season.

PAGE, Ariz.-Griffin Bone threw a pair of touchdown passes to Kason Janes of 33 and 28 yards, respectively, as the Kanab Cowboys clobbered the Page (Ariz.) Sun Devils 47-0 in non-region football play Friday. Bone added scoring runs of 1 and 5 yards for the Cowboys. Karson Blomquist (12 yards and 9 yards) ran for two more scores and Parker Franklin ran 50 yards for another touchdown for Kanab.

BICKNELL, Utah-Jake Peterson drove in three runs and the Wayne Badgers outgunned Valley 11-8 Friday in 1-A South baseball play. Ryker Peterson added six strikeouts on the mound to help Wayne pull out the victory. Hunter Cox and Zac Burrows drove in three runs apiece for the Buffaloes in defeat.

HURRICANE, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds dominated Diamond Ranch Academy 18-0 Friday in 1A South Region baseball action.

GREEN RIVER, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats scored seven runs in the first inning and never looked back as they run-ruled Green River 16-2 Friday in 1A South Region baseball action.

PRICE, Utah-Rafe Brinkerhoff went 3-4 with three RBI as the Bryce Valley Mustangs dominated Pinnacle 16-1 Friday in 1A South Region baseball action. Trey Clark earned the win on the mound with 10 strikeouts. Milo Atwood went 3-4 with a double and a triple in the win for the Mustangs.
