FILLMORE, Utah-Griffen Bone nailed a 31-yard field goal as time expired and the Kanab Cowboys outlasted Millard 18-15 in non-region football play Friday.
The Cowboys improved to 2-0 by getting key contributions from Parker Franklin (27 car, 105 yards, TD) and Kason Janes (4 rec, 69 yards, TD; blocked punt) as well in victory.
In defeat, Morgan Wade (2 interceptions), Conner Hem (rush TD) and Kaden Turner (rush TD) led the Eagles who fell to 0-2 on the young season.
The Cowboys return to action Friday by hosting Page (Ariz.) in a non-region tilt.
The Eagles seek the first win of the Stoney Myers era by hosting the Enterprise Wolves Friday.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Kyron Bracken had scoring runs of 75, 5 and 13 yards as the Enterprise Wolves bested South Sevier 21-14 Friday in non-region football play. Carter Abraham threw scoring passes to Ty Sorensen (30 yards) and Corban Jensen (1 yard) in defeat for the Rams.
BEAVER, Utah-Hunter Bell had a 5-yard scoring run and caught a 19-yard touchdown pass as the Grantsville Cowboys routed Beaver 35-14 in non-region football play Friday. Tyten Fails threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Bridger Bowles and Tavyn Hollingshead added a 6-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Beavers.
SALINA, Utah-James Crowley had touchdown runs of 9 and 12 yards as the North Sevier Wolves pounded Parowan 33-6 Friday in non-region football play. Kannin Boswell added a touchdown pass to Tyler Foote and ran for another score for the Wolves in victory. Kyson Bosshardt added another touchdown run in the rout for the Wolves.
MANTI, Utah-Larson Pogroszewski and Bo Stevens each ran for a pair of scores and the Manti Templars routed Delta 35-13 in non-region football play Friday. Kayson Douglas also threw a touchdown pass to Reggie Frischknecht in victory for Manti. Hunt Robinson threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Max Bassett and Braedynn Tom added a 3-yard touchdown run in defeat for the Rabbits.
GUNNISON, Utah-Kilo Tsosie threw four touchdown passes and the Milford Tigers pounded Gunnison Valley 58-26 Friday in non-region football play. Tyson Tucker threw three touchdown passes in the loss for the Bulldogs.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Caysen Accord returned a blocked punt 17 yards for a touchdown and an interception 38 yards for another score as the Richfield Wildcats pounded Cottonwood 44-6 in non-region football play Friday. Emery Thorson added touchdown runs of 4 and 51 yards for the Wildcats in the win. Reggie Hafen also threw a pair of touchdown passes to Cort Moon in victory for Richfield.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Gunner Nielsen, Chase Ingram and Joseph Garrett each ran for touchdowns and the Juab Wasps surged past Cedar City 37-20 Friday in non-region football play. Alex Jackson added a pair of scoring passes to Jayden Robinson (9 yards) and Payton Park (3o yards) for the Wasps in the win.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Tyler Allan threw touchdown passes to Keegan Strickland (10 yards) and Beau Jacobson (37 yards) and the North Sanpete Hawks doubled up Emery 28-14 in non-region football play Friday. Kash Cook (3 yards) and PJ Cook (9 yards) added touchdown runs in victory for the Hawks.
