SALINA, Utah-Griffen Bone completed 13 of 16 passes for 209 yards and three scores and the Kanab Cowboys routed North Sevier 35-0 Friday in non-region football play. Hayden Gubler (14 touches, 129 scrimmage yards, rush TD, rec TD) also played a crucial role in victory for the Cowboys.
Kanab outgained North Sevier 371-130 to improve to 2-0 on the season with both victories coming on the road, at Ben Lomond and against the Wolves.
James Crowley recorded 121 return yards on 5 attempts (24.2 yards per return) for the Wolves who fell to 0-2.
Kanab next plays the Monument Valley (Ariz.) Mustangs of Kayenta, Ariz. Friday while North Sevier visits South Sevier Friday.
NEPHI, Utah-Everett Kelling threw two touchdown passes to Jonathan Jeter and the Cedar Reds downed Juab 21-10 Friday in non-region football action. Austin Park threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Stockton Shepherd and Ethan Roundy added a 29-yard field goal in the loss for the Wasps.
MANTI, Utah-Talan Kelly threw a pair of touchdown passes and Max Reynolds ran for two scores as the Snow Canyon Warriors dismantled Manti 31-14 Friday in non-region football play. Maison Starkweather threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Frischknecht and ran for another score in the loss for the Templars.
GRANTSVILLE, Utah-Bodie Wheatley threw two touchdown passes and the Beaver Beavers pounded Grantsville 31-3 in non-region football play Friday. Deegan Blackner added two touchdown runs for the Beavers in the win. Andrew Hollingshead also ran for a 55-yard score in the rout for the Beavers.
MONROE, Utah-Ryker Phillips threw a pair of touchdown passes and the Enterprise Wolves blanked South Sevier 35-0 Friday in non-region football play. Jaden Drake and Kyron Bracken added scoring runs in the win for the Wolves.
MILFORD, Utah-Kielen Tsosie threw three touchdown passes and the Milford Tigers clobbered Lincoln County (Nev.) 45-0 in non-region football play Friday. Judd Netto added a 27-yard touchdown run in the win for Milford. Jexton Ashworth recorded a 68-yard interception return for a score for the Tigers as well.
GUNNISON, Utah-Judy Pearson ran for four scores and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs pounded White Pine (Nev.) 49-12 Friday in non-region football play. Tyson Tucker also ran for a score and tossed a touchdown pass and Sloane Childs returned a blocked punt 10 yards for another Gunnison Valley score.
LOGAN, Utah-Keaton Pond threw three touchdown passes and the Logan Grizzlies clobbered North Sanpete 47-3 in non-region football play Friday. Rafael Contreras nailed a 45-yard field goal in the loss for the Hawks.
FILLMORE, Utah-Lincoln Fullmer ran for two scores and the Millard Eagles edged Denver 27-20 Friday in non-region football play. Sam Rasmussen and Kaden Turner also added touchdown runs in the win for the Eagles. Hunt Robinson threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Ty Stefanoff and Kadance Lovell added a 14-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Rabbits.
