CASTLE DALE, Utah-Wade Stilson completed 14 of 22 passes for 253 yards, three touchdowns and an interception as the Emery Spartans clobbered North Sanpete 45-7 Friday in non-region football play in the season opener for both squads. Dane Sitterud added 8 carries for 78 yards and a score, as well as three sacks and a forced fumble defensively. Creek Sharp (5 rec, 129 yards, TD) and Matt Olsen (5 rec, 88 yards, TD) also contributed to the Spartans’ success as Emery outgained North Sanpete 357-131. The Hawks avoided a shutout by recovering a fumble in the Spartans’ end zone in the 4th Quarter.
North Sanpete next visits Logan Friday at 7:00 pm while Emery visits Union Friday at 7:00 pm.
COALVILLE, Utah-Jake Smith ran for a pair of scores and the North Summit Braves walloped South Sevier 40-14 in non-region football action Friday. Cannon Barney threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Brock Bair and Boston Palmer had a 6-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Rams.
MOAB, Utah-Kielen Tsosie threw five touchdown passes and the Milford Tigers pounded Grand 59-14 Friday in non-region football play. Judd Netto and Connor Swasey added touchdown runs in the win for the Tigers.
SALINA, Utah-Tui Fonua threw three touchdown passes and the Providence Hall Patriots bested North Sevier 35-21 in non-region football play Friday. Nolyn Huntsman threw two touchdown passes and James Crowley added an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in defeat for the Wolves.
MANTI, Utah-Maison Starkweather tossed four touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Manti Templars got past Union 36-29 Friday in non-region football play.
DELTA, Utah-Hunt Robinson threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score as the Delta Rabbits pounded Parowan 35-0 in non-region football play Friday. Roper Crane ran for two more touchdowns for the Rabbits and Ty Stefanoff added a 12-yard touchdown run for Delta.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Reggie Hafen ran for two scores, passed for another and returned a blocked kick for a score as the Richfield Wildcats made history by defeating the Cedar City Reds 28-7 Friday in non-region football play. Koden Lunt threw a 46-yard touchdown pass to Jonathan Jeter in defeat for the Reds. This was the Wildcats’ first all-time win against Cedar City as the Reds had won the previous nine games in the series, which dates back to 1940.
OGDEN, Utah-Hayden Gubler ran for three scores and the Kanab Cowboys lassoed Ben Lomond 40-26 in non-region football play Friday. Maddex Bone and Griffen Bone added touchdown runs in the win for Kanab. Manase Tuatagaloa threw four touchdown passes in the loss for the Scots.
NEPHI, Utah-Hayden Park ran for two touchdowns and the Juab Wasps blitzed Millard 32-7 Friday in non-region football play. Jaden Heap added a 46-yard touchdown run in victory for Juab. Austin Park also threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Korbin Mace and Ethan Roundy added a 40-yard field goal in the win for the Wasps. Lincoln Fullmer had a 2-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Eagles.
BEAVER, Utah-Deegan Blackner and Kutlur Matheson ran for scores and the Beaver Beavers humbled South Summit 33-14 in non-region football play Friday. Tate Gale also ran for a score for the Beavers while Andrew Hollingshead returned an interception 45 yards for another score and Kelton Langston added a fumble recovery for a touchdown for Beaver. Bracken Lassche ran for a touchdown and passed for another score in the loss for the Wildcats.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Tyson Tucker ran for two touchdowns and passed for another score while the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs downed American Leadership 42-28 Friday in non-region football play. Judy Pearson added a 7-yard touchdown run in victory for the Bulldogs.

PANGUITCH, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds got past Wayne 7-5 at the Panguitch Preview Friday. Jake Peterson drove in two runs in the loss for the Badgers.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Ryker Peterson recorded four RBI and the Wayne Badgers hammered Tintic 27-3 Friday at the Panguitch Preview. Ammon Peterson’s three strikeouts in seven innings of play earned him the win on the mound for the Badgers.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Maddix Johnson earned the win on the mound and the Panguitch Bobcats edged Altamont 6-5 at the Panguitch Preview Friday. Colton Beal homered in the loss for the Longhorns.

MILFORD, Utah-The Draper APA Eagles humbled Milford 3-0 Friday to prevail in straight sets in non-region volleyball play Friday. The Eagles bested the Tigers 25-10, 25-12, 25-10. Gracie Dotson and Kiley Fisher had three kills apiece in the loss for the Tigers.
