ROOSEVELT, Utah-Camden Frandsen homered and the Union Cougars blanked North Sanpete 7-0 Wednesday in Region 14 baseball play. Chase Nielson posted 6 strikeouts in 5 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Union.
2A East
MONROE, Utah-The South Sevier Rams downed San Juan 9-5 Wednesday to complete a 2A East baseball doubleheader sweep of the Broncos. Jerzy Nieves drove in three runs in the loss for the Broncos.
MONROE, Utah-The South Sevier Rams surged past San Juan 7-1 in the first game of a 2A East baseball doubleheader Wednesday. Branten Bethea drove in a run in defeat for the Broncos.
2A West
KANAB, Utah-The Kanab Cowboys pounded Milford 18-1 Wednesday in 2A West baseball action. Trey Rose drove in a run for the Tigers in the loss.
Softball
2A East
GUNNISON, Utah-Rilee Dyreng and Jakelle Sorenson drove in two runs apiece and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs completed a 2A East softball doubleheader sweep of Monticello with a 14-0 win over the Buckaroos Wednesday. Lexee Keisel and Robyn Christiansen combined for six strikeouts in the circle in the win for the Bulldogs.
GUNNISON, Utah-Lexee Keisel homered and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs pulverized Monticello 22-1 in the first game of a 2A East softball doubleheader Wednesday. Additionally, Maddie Pratt drove in six runs for the Bulldogs. Rebekah Stewart posted four strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Bulldogs.
Non-Region
RICHFIELD, Utah-Bree Allred, Indigo North and Lucy Oldroyd all homered and the North Sanpete Hawks routed Richfield 12-2 Wednesday in non-region softball action. Shea Rawlinson’s eight strikeouts in seven innings of work earned her the win in the circle for the Hawks.
MILFORD, Utah-The Delta Rabbits got past Milford 9-7 in non-region softball play Wednesday. Courtney McDermott, McKinlee Curtis, Allie Monroe and Presley Willden each drove in a run in defeat for the Tigers.
OREM, Utah-Alivya Osborn drove in four runs and the Manti Templars pounded Class 5A Mountain View 16-2 in non-region softball play Wednesday. Cecily Alder and HayLee Daniels added an additional 3 RBI apiece in victory for the Templars. Elsey Olson, Mara Thompson, Ashley Johnson, Andilyn Anderson and Raubie Johnson also each drove in a run for the Templars in the win. Daniels netted three strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Manti. Sophie Stoddard drove in both runs in defeat for the Bruins.
