RICHFIELD, Utah-Malik Fautin and Gage Brower each drove in a run and the Richfield Wildcats waxed North Sanpete 8-1 Thursday in non-region baseball play. Hayden Reed posted seven strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wildcats.
Softball
Region 12
RICHFIELD, Utah-Alivia Christman drove in three runs and the Emery Spartans pounded Richfield 13-3 Thursday in Region 12 softball play. Aspen Taylor’s eight strikeouts in seven innings of work earned her the win in the circle for the Spartans. Kaydence Buck drove in two runs in defeat for the Wildcats.
Region 14
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Lucy Oldroyd homered and the North Sanpete Hawks routed Manti 7-1 in Region 14 softball play Thursday. Bree Allred, Tyler Miramontes and Kady Cook each added an RBI in victory for North Sanpete. Katelyn Johnson posted seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Hawks. Madison Scottorn drove in a run in the loss for the Templars.
2A Central
BLANDING, Utah-Elise Dalley’s four RBI led the San Juan Broncos to a 2A Central softball sweep of South Sevier with a 16-14 win over the Rams Thursday in the second game of a doubleheader. Trinity Whatcott posted five strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Broncos. Hayzen Taylor and Mya Deaton posted two RBI apiece in the loss for the Rams.
BLANDING, Utah-Averie Gilson drove in three runs and the San Juan Broncos bested South Sevier 11-7 in the first game of a 2A Central softball doubleheader Thursday. Caitlin Nielson drove in two runs in defeat for the Rams.
SALINA, Utah-Maile Ha’o drove in three runs and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs downed North Sevier 18-7 Thursday in 2A Central softball play. Ha’o posted eight strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Bulldogs. Kamryn Pierce drove in two runs for the Wolves in the loss.

BEAVER, Utah-The Beaver Beavers routed Panguitch 15-0 Thursday in 2A South softball play. Katie Hatch and Siena Sawyer each posted a hit in the loss for the Bobcats.
