KANAB, Utah-Derek Houston hit two doubles and a triple while driving in five runs for the Kanab Cowboys as they beat Hurricane 17-10 Saturday in non-region baseball action. Cole Clarkson added a three run home run and Bradley Haycock earned the win on the mound for the Cowboys.

Payson Varsity Tournament
PAYSON, Utah-Jamisyn Heaton and Kenadee Beck each homered and the Lehi Pioneers doubled up North Sanpete 8-4 in non-region softball action Saturday. Lucy Oldroyd went yard twice in defeat for the Hawks. Grace Humes earned the win in the circle for the Pioneers.
PAYSON, Utah-Paeton Johnson doubled and drove in two runs as the North Sanpete Hawks beat American Fork 11-2 in the Payson Varsity Tournament. Johnson also earned the win inside the circle for the Hawks.
PAYSON, Utah-Graciee Christiansen was 3-3 at the plate with a home run and a double as the North Sanpete Hawks beat Payson 10-4 Saturday in the Payson Varsity Tournament. Heather Howarth also homered in the win and Christiansen earned the win inside the circle.
PAYSON, Utah-Heather Howarth hit a home run and had two doubles as the North Sanpete topped Gunnison Valley 14-3 at the Payson Varsity Tournament Saturday. Howarth also earned the win in the circle, while Lucy Oldroyd homered and drove in three runs in the win. Lexee Keisel doubled and had two RBI’s in the loss for the Bulldogs.
PAYSON, Utah-Duchesne hit four home runs en route to a 16-3 win over Richfield in non-region softball action Saturday. Mercedes Perschon homered in the loss for the Wildcats.
PAYSON, Utah-American Fork scored five runs in the fifth inning to pull away from Richfield 9-2 Saturday in the Payson Varsity Tournament. Audrey Stewart had two doubles in the loss for the Wildcats.
PAYSON, Utah-Salem Hills scored 13 runs in the third inning to beat Richfield 20-5 Saturday in non-region softball action. Aubrey Gleave had a home run with three RBI’s in the loss for the Wildcats.
