SALINA, Utah-Corbin Middleton homered and the San Juan Broncos bucked North Sevier 12-1 Wednesday in the first game of a 2A East baseball doubleheader. Jake Ivins netted three strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for San Juan. Rylan Frischknecht drove in a run in the loss for the Wolves.

SALINA, Utah-Cooper Palmer drove in four runs and the San Juan Broncos clipped North Sevier 16-2 to complete a 2A East baseball doubleheader sweep of the Wolves Wednesday. Corbin Middleton netted five strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Broncos. Parker Jensen drove in two runs in the loss for the Wolves.

Softball

Region 12

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kaecee Johnson homered and the North Sanpete Hawks drilled Richfield 12-7 in Region 12 softball play Wednesday. Brooklyn Larson drove in three runs in victory for North Sanpete. Rylee Stewart, Autumn Oldroyd, Annie Madsen and Aspen Bagshaw added an additional RBI apiece in the win for the Hawks. Macie Barton homered in the loss for the Wildcats. Kaydence Busk drove in two more runs for Richfield and Baylee Brown and Sydnei Christensen drove in an additional run apiece in defeat for the Wildcats.

2A Central

SALINA, Utah-Addie Quarnberg and Zoey Rhees drove in two runs apiece and the North Sevier Wolves edged Wayne 7-6 Wednesday in 2A Central softball play. Avery Taylor, Cheyenne Johnson and Reagan Hone drove in a run apiece in victory for North Sevier. Chloe Malmgren netted eight strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Wolves. Kayla Jones homered in the loss for the Badgers. Oakley Brian drove in three runs in defeat for Wayne.

2A South

BEAVER, Utah-Jerzee Beaumont, Arikka Anderson and Braylee Carter drove in two runs apiece and the Beaver Beavers smoked Parowan 13-3 in 2A South softball play Wednesday. Tylee Marshall, Ainsley Brown and Aspyn Evans drove in an additional run each in victory for Beaver. Lexi Hafen posted four strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Beaver. Whitlee Andersen drove in two runs in the loss for the Rams.

Non-Region

FILLMORE, Utah-Chezney Farnsworth drove in five runs and Duchesne soared past Millard 17-7 in the battle of the Eagles Wednesday in non-region softball play. Kira Grant posted two strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Duchesne. Maren Davies, Maggie Stephens, Emily Stephenson and Brooklin Reid drove in a run apiece in defeat for Millard.
