BICKNELL, Utah-Alania Grundy drove in three runs and the Wayne Badgers downed Piute 12-7 Monday in 1A softball play. Rylan Taylor’s 13 strikeouts in seven innings of work earned the win in the circle for the Badgers. Alayna Severe drove in two runs in the loss for the Thunderbirds.

PAROWAN, Utah-Lennox Mechelke netted a hat trick and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs blanked Parowan 5-0 in 2A South boys soccer play Monday. Chase Maples and Broadie Brock also scored in the win for the Bulldogs. Edrick Salas recorded the shutout in the net for the Bulldogs.
