JUNCTION, Utah-Quade Gleave stepped up with 15 points and the Piute Thunderbirds outlasted Valley 47-43 in overtime in Region 20 boys basketball action Thursday. Braden Heaton and Conner Chamberlain had 11 points apiece in the loss for the Buffaloes.

HILDALE, Utah-The Wayne Badgers humbled Water Canyon 45-40 Thursday in Region 20 boys basketball action.

Girls Basketball

Region 12

RICHFIELD, Utah-Brookell Brindley posted 10 points and the South Sevier Rams downed Richfield 45-38 Thursday in Region 12 girls basketball action. Jarica Steck had 12 points for the Wildcats in the loss.

Region 14

LINDON, Utah-Brynlee Bender led the way with 14 points and the Juab Wasps pounded Maeser Prep 58-24 in Region 14 girls basketball action Thursday.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Katie Larsen stepped up with 16 points and the Manti Templars pounded North Sanpete 57-43 Thursday in Region 14 girls basketball action. Sarah Oldroyd’s 12 points led the Hawks in defeat.

Region 18

PAROWAN, Utah-The Parowan Rams outlasted Beaver 58-54 in Region 18 girls basketball action Thursday. Kenzlee Carter netted 17 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for the Beavers.

FILLMORE, Utah-Eliza Swallow amassed 19 points and the Millard Eagles downed Kanab 48-42 Thursday in Region 18 girls basketball action. Rylee Anderson had 10 points in the loss for Kanab.
