RICHFIELD, Utah-Kole Westwood recorded 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists on 6-11 from the field as the No. 4 Piute Thunderbirds routed No. 13 Escalante 66-31 Wednesday in the second round of the state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center. Kendal Gardner’s 15 points and 10 rebounds on 6-9 from the field led the Moquis in the loss. Piute next advances to the 8:30 pm Thursday quarterfinal at the Sevier Valley Center against No. 5 Wendover at 8:30 pm.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kevin Gonzalez posted 20 points and 8 rebounds on 8-12 from the field and the No. 5 Wendover Wildcats pounded No. 12 Whitehorse 80-56 in the second round of the state tournament Wednesday at the Sevier Valley Center. Lyric Phillips had 26 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for the Raiders.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Jaden Desch netted 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the No. 1 Rich Rebels smacked No. 17 Altamont 57-36 Wednesday in the second round of the state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center. Peyton Lawton and Ashton Arnold had 10 points apiece in the loss for the Longhorns. Rich next faces No. 9 Milford Thursday at 7:00 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kielen Tsosie posted 15 points and 8 rebounds and the No. 9 Milford Tigers dismantled No. 8 Green River 56-40 at the Sevier Valley Center Wednesday in the second round of the state tournament. Luis Hernandez had 13 points and 7 rebounds in the loss for the Pirates.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Chance Lazenby netted 15 points and 7 rebounds and the No. 2 Tabiona Tigers downed No. 15 Bryce Valley 51-28 in the second round of the state tournament Wednesday at the Sevier Valley Center. Zaren Roberts had 12 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Mustangs. Tabiona next plays in the state quarterfinals Thursday at 2:30 pm against No. 7 Wayne at the Sevier Valley Center.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Ryker Peterson posted 19 points and 6 rebounds and the No. 7 Wayne Badgers bested No. 10 Valley 64-57 Wednsday at the Sevier Valley Center in the second round of the state tournament. Jace Cox led the Buffalos in the loss with 17 points and 9 rebounds.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Cache Eyre netted 20 points and 8 rebounds on 9-13 from the field and the No. 3 Panguitch Bobcats hammered No. 14 Monticello 65-41 Wednesday in the second round of the state playoffs at the Sevier Valley Center. Curtis Bunker posted 13 points and 6 rebounds for the Buckaroos in the loss. Panguitch next plays at 1:00 pm Thursday in the state quarterfinals against No. 6 Manila at the Sevier Valley Center.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Riley Browning had 11 points and 6 rebounds and the No. 6 Manila Mustangs got past No. 11 Tintic 50-35 in the second round of the state playoffs at the Sevier Valley Center Wednesday. Haygen Jameson led the Miners in defeat with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Siciliy Fabrizio netted 20 points and the No. 4 Tabiona Tigers smacked No. 13 Altamont 52-32 Wednesday in the second round of the state playoffs at Richfield High School. Tabiona next faces No. 5 Wendover Thursday at 5:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Paulina Gomez led the way with 16 points and the No. 5 Wendover Wildcats drilled No. 12 Milford 48-34 in the second round of the state playoffs at Richfield High School Wednesday. Tayleah Spaulding had a game-high 19 points in the loss for the Tigers.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Shimequah Hudson and Malayah Blackmountain had 15 points apiece and the No. 1 Monument Valley Cougars dismantled No. 16 Pinnacle 64-28 Wednesday in the second round of the state playoffs at Richfield High School. Jostyn McLean had 12 points in the loss for the Panthers. The Cougars next meet No. 8 Manila Thursday at 4:00 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
