3A State Championship Game @ UCCU Center (UVU)
OREM, Utah-Bracken Saunders netted 26 points and the No. 1 Morgan Trojans routed No. 3 Richfield 47-32 Wednesday at the UCCU Center in the 3A state championship game. Gage Yardley’s 14 points and 6 rebounds led the Wildcats in the loss. Morgan has now won five state championships in boys basketball (1974, 2013, 2014, 2019 and 2025).
3A 3rd Place Game @ UCCU Center
OREM, Utah-Deng Deng posted 26 points on 8-14 from the field and the No. 7 Judge Bulldogs secured third place with a 66-59 win over No. 5 Juab Wednesday at the UCCU Center. The Bulldogs shot 50 percent for the game in victory. Austin Park netted 20 points on 8-15 from the field in the loss for the Wasps.
3A 5th Place Game @ UCCU Center
OREM, Utah-Felps Sanders recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds on 7-14 from the field and the No. 2 Canyon View Falcons overpowered No. 5 South Summit 62-46 to place fifth at the 3A state tournament at the UCCU Center Wednesday. Logan Woolstenhulme’s 17 points led the Wildcats in the loss.
1A 2nd Round @ Richfield High School
RICHFIELD, Utah-Boede Cox netted 17 points and the No. 4 Valley Buffalos got past No. 13 Manila 55-52 Wednesday in the second round of the 1A state tournament at Richfield High School. Wyatt Muir and Braken Lail had 13 points apiece in defeat for the Mustangs. Valley next faces No. 5 Tabiona Thursday at 8:30 pm in the 1A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Rocky Rhoades posted 28 points and the No. 5 Tabiona Tigers blasted No. 12 Whitehorse in the second round of the 1A state tournament at Richfield High School Wednesday. Dominic Dance led the Raiders with 12 points in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Jett Holmes led the way with 12 points and the No. 1 Rich Rebels hammered No. 17 Altamont 61-35 in the second round of the 1A state tournament Wednesday. Briggs Wall led the Longhorns in the loss with 19 points. Rich next faces No. 9 Piute Thursday at 7:00 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Kolton Myers recorded 23 points and the No. 9 Piute Thunderbirds overpowered No. 8 Monticello 60-43 Wednesday in the second round of the 1A state tournament. Cache Young led the Buckaroos in the loss with 13 points.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Remme Chappell led the way with 16 points and the No. 2 Panguitch Bobcats routed No. 15 Wendover 63-46 in the second round of the 1A state tournament Wednesday. Jared Guzman’s game-high 22 points led the Wildcats in the loss. Panguitch next faces No. 7 Tintic Thursday at 2:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Cole Ward posted 17 points and the No. 7 Tintic Miners downed the No. 10 Wayne Badgers 57-51 Wednesday in the second round of the 1A state tournament. Blake Peterson led the Badgers in defeat with 16 points.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Sadler Barnes led the way with 16 points and the No. 3 Milford Tigers pulverized the No. 14 Escalante Moquis 89-31 in the second round of the 1A state tournament Wednesday. Alonzo Gardner led Escalante in the loss with 8 points. Milford next faces No. 11 Bryce Valley Thursday at 1:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Luke Andrus netted 13 points and the No. 11 Bryce Valley Mustangs edged No. 6 Green River 49-47 Wednesday in the second round of the 1A state tournament. Rolando Anguiano’s game-high 24 points led the Pirates in the loss.
Girls Basketball
3A State Championship Game @ UCU Center
OREM, Utah-Bethanee Vargas netted 12 points and the No. 2 Canyon View Falcons bested No. 5 Emery 47-41 to win the 3A state championship Wednesday at the UCCU Center. Katelyn Nielson recorded 18 points on 7-13 from the field in defeat for the Spartans. This is Canyon View’s second all-time state title in girls basketball and first since 2006.

OREM, Utah-Avery Allred posted 22 points on 10-18 from the field and the No. 1 Grantsville Lady Cowboys placed third with a 51-38 win over No. 3 South Summit Wednesday at the UCCU Center. Emma Broadbent netted 9 points and 21 rebounds in the loss for the Wildcats.

OREM, Utah-Hailee Hall posted 15 points and 19 rebounds and the No. 7 Juab Wasps placed 5th with a 53-44 win over No. 8 Judge Wednesday at the UCCU Center. Elyah Ocampo’s 16 points led the Bulldogs in defeat.

RICHFIELD, Utah-AJ VanDyke posted 23 points and the No. 4 Wayne Badgers smoked No. 13 Bryce Valley 58-34 in the 2nd Round of the 1A state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center Wednesday. Grace Leech led the Mustangs in defeat with 14 points. Wayne next faces No. 5 Whitehorse Thursday at 5:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
