3A Semifinals @ Southern Utah University
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Kayson Douglas led the way with 19 points and 6 rebounds on 8-13 from the field and the No. 1 Manti Templars dismantled No. 4 Grantsville 63-49 in the 3A state semifinals at Southern Utah University Friday. Gabe Mouritsen led the Cowboys in defeat with 11 points and 7 rebounds. The Templars shot 57 percent (26-46) from the field in victory. Manti next plays for a 3A state championship Saturday at 7:00 pm at Southern Utah University against Juab.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Braxton Hooper made a basket in the closing seconds and the No. 7 Juab Wasps outlasted No. 6 Summit Academy 51-50 Friday in the 3A state semifinals at Southern Utah University. Austin Park’s 19 points on 7-13 and 4-4 at the foul line led the Wasps in victory. Bryson Ottley posted 18 points on 7-14 in the loss for the Bears.
Consolation Bracket
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Kolton Asay’s 13 points on 4-7 from the field led the way and the No. 5 Morgan Trojans outlasted No. 8 Canyon View 54-50 in the consolation bracket Friday. Andrew Barnes had 10 points and 7 assists in defeat for the Falcons. Morgan next plays for 5th place Saturday at 11:40 am against Richfield.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Cort Moon had 14 points and 8 rebounds on 7-14 from the field and the No. 2 Richfield Wildcats outlasted No. 3 Emery 53-49 Friday in the consolation bracket. Wade Stilson’s 11 points and 6 rebounds led the Spartans in the loss.
2A Semifinals @ SLCC
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Brock Felder’s 23 points led the way and the No. 8 Parowan Rams routed No. 5 American Heritage 48-33 Friday in the 2A state semifinals at Salt Lake Community College. Parowan next plays No. 3 Kanab for the 2A state championship Saturday at 7:00 pm at Salt Lake Community College.
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-The No. 3 Kanab Cowboys stymied No. 7 Duchesne 48-41 in the 2A state semifinals at Salt Lake Community College Friday.
Consolation Bracket
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Treyson Whitman posted 15 points and the No. 1 Enterprise Wolves edged No. 4 South Sevier 67-64 in the consolation bracket Friday. Ridge Tebbs led the Rams in defeat with 22 points. The Wolves next face No. 2 Millard for 5th place Saturday at 11:40 am.
TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Hunter Rhodes netted 23 points and the No. 2 Millard Eagles dismantled No. 6 APA West Valley 65-46 Friday in the consolation bracket. Kome Ocwor’s 22 points led the APA West Valley Eagles in the loss.

3A Semifinals @ Southern Utah University
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Baylee Lowder posted 23 points and 6 rebounds on 10-19 from the field and the No. 1 Grantsville Cowboys routed No. 4 Carbon 62-21 Friday in the 3A state semifinals. Grantsville next faces No. 3 Morgan Saturday at 5:00 pm for a state championship.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Liv Jaffa netted 22 points and 16 rebounds and the No. 3 Morgan Trojans overpowered No. 2 Richfield 60-52 in the 3A state semifinals Friday. Kamryn Knutson’s 22 points led the Wildcats in defeat.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Maya Nichols posted 15 points and the No. 7 Canyon View Falcons outlasted No. 6 Layton Christian 52-51 in overtime. Christina “Ruzgar” Boyle had 23 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Eagles. The Falcons next play for 5th place Saturday at 10:00 am against No. 8 Judge at Southern Utah University.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Nyandeng Deng posted 17 points and 10 rebounds and the No. 8 Judge Bulldogs edged No. 12 Delta 53-48 Friday in the consolation bracket. Kate Smith’s 21 points led the Rabbits in the loss.

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Tawni Eyre led the way with 16 points and the No. 1 Beaver Beavers downed No. 4 Draper APA 60-51 Friday in the state semifinals at Salt Lake Community College. Aaliyah Baldwin’s 24 points led the Eagles in the loss. Beaver next faces No. 3 Kanab for the 2A state championship Saturday at 5:00 pm at Salt Lake Community College.
