BLANDING, Utah-Jaxon Torgerson amassed 29 points and 7 rebounds on 11 of 14 shooting as the San Juan Broncos overpowered South Sevier 69-57 Friday in Region 15 boys basketball action. The Broncos blew open a close game with a 13-2 run to commence the second half, ultimately winning the 3rd Quarter 25-14 en route to a 13-6 record and 5-4 in region play. Brandt Williams had 18 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Rams as they fell to 14-4 and 6-3 on the season. San Juan is next in action Saturday afternoon against Richfield with South Sevier playing Grand at Moab Saturday afternoon.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Brodie Tuttle posted 26 points as the Emery Spartans routed North Sanpete 85-63 in Region 15 boys basketball action Friday. Scott Hatch had 26 points in the loss for the Hawks.
MOAB, Utah-Kevin Park led the way with 20 points and the Grand Red Devils got past Richfield 55-52 Friday in Region 15 boys basketball action. Emmett Hinck and Keldon Anderson had 11 points apiece in the loss for the Wildcats.
Region 14
DELTA, Utah-Derek Smith amassed 28 points on six 3-pointers as the Delta Rabbits pounded the Maeser Lions 71-37 in Region 14 boys basketball action Friday. Hugh Jackson’s 13 points led the Lions in defeat.
Region 18
FILLMORE, Utah-Crayton Hollingshead led the way with 12 points and the Beaver Beavers edged Millard 36-33 Friday in Region 18 boys basketball action. Austin Burraston’s 12 points led the Eagles in the loss.
PAROWAN, Utah-Porter Wood netted 33 points as the Parowan Rams routed Kanab 67-50 in Region 18 boys basketball action Friday. Sam Orton had 20 points in the loss for the Cowboys.
Region 20
JUNCTION, Utah-Kelby Jessen stepped up with 17 points and the Piute Thunderbirds smacked Escalante 86-42 Friday in Region 20 boys basketball action. Bracken Lyman’s 18 points led the Moquis in the loss.

MANTI, Utah-Adam Huff led the way with 23 points as the Manti Templars routed American Heritage 87-47 in non-region boys basketball action Friday. Sam Beckwith posted 15 points in the loss for the Patriots.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Jarica Steck and Sipola Vakautakakala had 12 points apiece as the Richfield Wildcats pounded Grand 62-21 Friday in Region 15 girls basketball action. Hannah Owen had 10 points for the Red Devils in the loss.
MONROE, Utah-Kenzie Jones amassed 29 points as the South Sevier Rams smacked San Juan 60-36 in Region 15 girls basketball action Friday. Delaney Palmer’s 3 points led the Broncos in defeat.
